This Nikkor 24-85mm
f/2.8-4.0D lens takes care of a wide and enormously useful territory. It features the quickest aperture of any wide-angle zoom. It's also
pretty small and light weight. A 1:2 macro is included, which easily reached by just flipping a switch. The non-rotating front when both
focusing or zooming makes it a pleasure to use a polarizing filter. It's also internal focus, meaning there's no extending while focusing.

Chromatic aberrations become apparent when printing out really big, photos, It needs a filter or Photoshop help correct that. Also in macro mode, at 24mm it doesn't stop down tof/ 2.8, only stops down to f/3.2.
